Fax and Voice to Email Services

Did you know that you can receive faxes and voice messages on your computer via your email?

This is commonly known as voice to email (Voice2Email) and fax to email (Fax2Email) or unified messaging and eliminates the need for separate fax and answering machines!

How does it work?

When you apply for our inbound Voicemail to email or Fax to email service, we allocate you an applicable voice/fax mailbox and telephone number for your exclusive use from a pool of telephone numbers Australia wide (in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth).

This number is linked to your personal mailbox on our Unified Messaging System. We configure your mailbox to be either a voice or fax messaging system.

Email2Fax functionality can be included with Fax2Email. You only pay a per minute charge for the faxes you send.

Professional Fax to Email services

If configured for Fax to email… when a fax is received, it is saved as a .tif or .pdf file, attached to an email and sent to your designated email address.

To view your faxes, you simply double-click the files and your standard Windows software* will open them for viewing.

Email to Fax services from Virtual Office Services Australia

Sending a fax is as easy as sending an email attachment.

Simply attach the document that you want to fax to an email.

In the email address field, include the recipients fax number where you would like to send a fax to in the special email address we provide you (eg. [Recipient's phone number]@u1.alltel.com.au)

Press send.

You will receive confirmation once your fax has been successfully sent from our fax server.

When voice messages are received, they are saved as .wav files, attached to an email and sent to your designated email address.

To listen to your messages, you simply double click the attached files and your standard Windows software* will play them over your computer speakers.

This Voicemail service allows you to

  • record your own personalised welcome message or choose to use our standard greeting.
  • re-record your own welcome message by telephone at any time.
  • redirect your home phone, office phone, mobile phone, 1300 number or 1800 number to the number you have been allocated.
  • redirect to your Voice2Email number when your normal line is "busy" or there is "no answer".

Recorded Information/Announcement
& Caller Response

If you need to repeat the same information over and over to callers, this is an effective, time saving and economical way of promoting your product or service.

This service could be likened to an answering machine on which you can record a long greeting (your announcement).

It combines a 1300 number with Voice2Email. Your 1300 or 1800 number is routed/directed to terminate at your Voice2Email service.

You simply record your announcement (information about your product or service) as a greeting on your Voice2Email service.

Callers to your 1300 or 1800 number can listen to your announcement.

At the end of your announcement, our system can record their contact details and send them to your email.

Setup is $25. Minimum term 3 months. 1 calendar months notice required to cancel. Minutes included on Incoming services are timed on the length of the call (an average fax page takes approx 45 secs to transmit depending on content). Email2Fax is available with Fax2Email plans and is not available as a separate service. Each Outgoing minute (eg. for Email2Fax) is charged at 25c and is timed on the length of the call from our fax server to recipient. Prices relate to the use of these services only. All fees exclude GST.

*Appropriate computer software is required for these services.
